In 2000, Prada launched several fragrances as exclusive series available exclusively in Prada boutiques, with four fragrances in 2000 and three in 2007. Prior to this, in 2004, Prada launched its first fragrance for a broader audience, Prada Eau de Parfum.

The Prada (Amber) fragrance was created by Carlos Benaim, Max Gavarry, and Clement Gavarry, and is manufactured in Spain. This fragrance is an oriental scent based on an intense accord of amber, which permeates the entire composition. It is a modern take on a classic fragrance.

The composition of Prada (Amber) features four main essences: Indian sandalwood, Indonesian patchouli, French labdanum resin, and Siam benzoin, with amber being the dominant note. The top notes are citrus-based, with bergamot, bitter orange, and mandarin, while soft floral notes appear in the heart. The base is dominated by a dry, earthy patchouli scent, united with vanilla.

In 2005, Prada launched Prada Intense, which is identical in composition to the original Prada fragrance, but with a higher concentration, resulting in a slightly warmer and sweeter scent, with an increased presence of patchouli.

The Prada and Prada Intense fragrances are both Eau de Parfum concentrations, and were created by the IFF perfumers Carlos Benaim, Max Gavarry, and Clement Gavarry.
